In case you didn't know, they just released a new game in November, Monochrome Mobius, story about Oshtor when he was young. I just finished the game and it ended on a cliffhanger so it's almost 100% they are going for a sequel to that and probably lead to a new sequel after Mask of Truth. A new god beside Uitsualnemetia exist in this world, i won't spoil the name though but it's a cliffhanger so we don't know anything about this god

Sadly I bought the game the day it released and finished it not long after lol. So yeah for those who didn't know about the game then go buy it, but for those like me, we must suffer.

What's even more sad is that this game does not have New Game +, which means u can't start over new difficulty with what you have, there's no new boss either after you completed the game, there's literally nothing left to play lol. I picked up so much materials and now i can't use it and feels like a waste of time

Been there, done that for FF7 Remake, 100% platinum but in the end it feels like a waste of time and completely bored of the game after playing too much.

Gonna miss this series. Story and music was great. Interaction between Anju and Kuon as their respective ruler was funny.

overall the last 2 eps were good, but if they cut the op ed here they could cut in episode 26 and make kimi ga tame scene the respect it deserved

also liked how they added haku kicking hakuowlo scene

Hearing the original OP from the very first anime kick in was one helluva nostalgia rush for a second. Seeing Hakuowlo freed in animated form still hits me hard. I watched the first adaptation a lifetime ago and its just so satisfying to see him get his happy ending, and the VN really brought those feels too.

man fumirul is a goddess, all those men were hiding their boners as they ran away from sneaking a peak at her. she's prob the best in the looks department even though my favorite chick is still the badass older chick with the chain around her neck ever since the first series, love how those two started their own busines and just hang out with each other. damn lol all the ladies are waiting for the return of their future husband haku. overall enjoyed the series a lot, gonna miss the beautiful animation of this world

Ultimately, I enjoyed the overall series with it's spanning lore with so many characters to learn. But since this is a anime adaptation of the VN, I know some details will be left out. Why I will be reading the comments for that missing info.

Goddamn back in old day going to school I felt happy about this because more anime to kill time and entertain because it was boring life at that time.
But now after I got to go to work full time 5 days a week. I felt like this 15 anime to catch up. I feel like I don't have time for this.

This show is remake of game, which came out by milking original Utawarerumono serie. As i hear game was much better, they cut out a lot of content, so if you liked anime check the game too. Produced by Top Studios: Producers: KlockWorx, MAGES., AQUAPLUS, King Record and ?Crunchroll?

This show starts like Boruto, most of original cast was send into background giving us new virgin characters to explore.
The show is carried by Kuon, an OP waifu-character with multiple personalities, where the naughty one always leaves us hanging.
And MC who is forced to cosplay a fearsome leader, to keep team of crybabies together. Also we have 6...10... (stopped counting) NPCs who just follow MC around like stalkers, each having own catchphrase. As the villains we get some grown up kids, with "no-one-loves-me" issues - most of them could be defeated with a Hug, but "NO!", we rather wait for them to snap and save them with Violence.>:)

Plot-wise the story is a generic RPG, where you kill your enemies with power of friendship and justice. I liked how after the coup d'etat, all the citizens and allies have brain damage, so MC's party has to post-ident her majesty around globe.
We could try to use strategy or tactics from original serie, but 50% of budget went already into fan-service.Let's just Shield-Bash with Plot-armor till the final Boss and hope no one notices.

Still if you turn your brain off it's fun to watch.

I do like this old project restarted, but it paled to original.

Really still hope for sequel. I mean, personally I like Haku more than Hakuoro. And Hakuoro atleast got to bang or got banged by most of the girls in the old cast but Haku gets stuck being a virgin god. Come on Aquaplus please do a sequel and let my boi has his harem ending that he truly deserved and possibly seg scenes. (I also like the new cast girls more than the old cast).

I doubt any of those kinds of scenes. The only reason why the first game had it it was to heavily promote the game as an ero game. When ot got the popularity it needed, it was re-worked with voice actors and took out those scenes (but certain scenes and dialogue to suggest that certain things happen).

The second game and third games were already very popular and not in need of that kind of scenes so I doubt they will go back to a ero game.

Also, I'm pretty sure the third game is the end of the whole series.

He's not dead bruh, he became a god, he doesn't need to hide himself tbh, but they purposely make him do so to create a bitter sweet ending for the viewers. Because the previous god Hakuowlo used to live with others too

I do not think it is a bad ending though and Haku is not dead. Haku had become a God, a being that is beyond mortals' understanding and he had the power to bend the reality in both physical and spiritual realm, so it is highly plausible to said that he is able to manifest physically and spiritually on his own whim as well.

However, I believe Haku choose not to appear physically as his path as a mortal had already ended and he wanted the rest of his friends to guide their own future by themselves otherwise they would not "evolve", and just cling to him and the "past".

Moreover, Haku's duty as a God does not cater to Kuon only, he also had to take care of other living beings other than his own friends and love. Like a quote once says, "Truly, God works in mysterious ways. The wheels of his mercy and justice move quietly, but they do move."

Uitsalnemetea exists to grant wishes, it makes sense to finally grant Hakuowlo's too.

I kinda got emotional after this ending, it hits right in the feelings just like what happened when I reached this part in the game... and it was amazing, this episode was the finale this anime adaptation deserved and I think it was worth the wait.

So yeah, for those who are curious about wtf happened to Haku, he became a god and now he's going around fixing the problems caused by Amaterasu, the Tatari, and pretty much everything else to make the world a better place, he's being sneaky about it and there's the potential promise to reunite with the others once the job its done.

This is the end of the Utawarerumono trilogy, a story that started in the very first game and anime adaptation with Hakuowlo, up to this point in current history with Haku. There's a new game that tells the story about Oshtor's past, so it might potentially get an anime adaptation... will that be possible? Well... I guess I have to be honest with a little rant down bellow...

So this anime adaptation of Mask of Truth was... decent at best, it rushed a lot of things and changed some scenes here and there, so it's not a faithful adaptation... sure the animation was great, but many epic moments from the game were either changed, skipped or rushed AF... if Nitroplus will order an anime adaptation for Monochrome Mobius (Oshtor's game), then I hope it's a much better and properly paced adaptation than this one.

Overall I'll give this adaptation of Mask of Truth a solid 7/10, I wanted to give it 8 because of this final episode... but I think 7 is more than enough, are we going to get more Utawarerumono tho?

Well, Monochrome Mobius was released not too long ago which means the franchise is not dead, so hopefully we might get more stuff and perhaps in the far future... we might go back to see Haku, Kuon and the others... but, we'll have to wait and see for the time being.

it was uitsalnemetia's consciousness which is a separate consciousness than hakuowlo's. they're both parts of the same being, but still separate people. hakuowlo is the one that booted him out of god-space.

Nah they just skip the fight right out. damn they should've just use Kuon CG from the VN for that last scene if they were gonna do that shot. over all i enjoy watching VN getting animated.
